The novel Coronavirus has sent the world into a frenzy for the foreseeable future. Social media, news outlets, promotional emails, app notifications and casual conversations have all turned to covid-19 chatter.
It would be easy to feed into the frenzy, panic over toilet paper and hoard necessities from vulnerable populations. But what good would that do? I find it best to remind myself of life’s abundance. Though there are a myriad of serious issues currently plaguing society, there are so many occasions to enjoy one’s self.
In the spirit of self-care, here is a list of things I’m thinking about besides death, doom and destruction.
- The lies I’d tell Trump to get this check.
- Hugging my mama.
- Some Hawaiian sweet bread would be great right now.
- Relaunching my graphic design business.
- The people on Before the 90 Days who still get “catfished” in the age of the show Catfish.
- What flavor am I going to make these biscuits…rosemary and Parmesan maybe?
- The experts on Married at First Sight got it completely wrong this season.
- I’m glad I waited to have kids or else I’d be like the rest of the panicked parents in America.
- My midday matcha is about to be a turn-up.
- My daily life is social distancing.
- I’ve never seen Houston’s highways so calm.
- I’m excited about tonight’s virtual Bible study.
- The cancellation of student loans would be delicious!
